UNPO presented its report ''Compromised Spaces Europe : Voices of Victims of Espionage and Reprisals in Europea'' during the International Uyghur Forum
On 10 November 2022, UNPO presented its report ‘’Compromised Spaces Europe: Voices of Victims of Espionage and Reprisals in Europe’’ during the International Uyghur Forum which took place between 9-10 November 2022.
Co-organized by Hasene International and the International Union of East Turkistan Organizations (IUETO), the Forum brought together over 200 participants from over 20 countries, including prominent experts in policy formation, economics, civil society, media, academia, and the legal fields, as well as Uyghur and civil society representatives.
On the second day of the forum and during an interactive dialogue over civil society and international avenues, UNPO presented the findings of the ‘’Compromised Spaces Europe: Victims of Espionage and Reprisals in Europe’’ report. The report highlighted the extent of the interference of three state actors China, Russia, and Iran in Europe and the way in which the activists belonging to minorities in Europe are targeted and threatened.
