REPORT OF THE 1996 ABKHAZIAN ELECTION MISSION
Lord Eric Avebury and Senator John Nimrod visited Georgia and Abkhazia between 21-28 November 1996, at the request of the Unrepresented Nations and Peoples Organization. This report comments on the elections, but is mainly concerned with the process of negotiations on the return of the exiles, and the settlement of the political dispute between Georgia and Abkhazia.
